What Platforms Is The Resident Evil Village Demo On
Versions of the Resident Evil Village demo will be available across PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia. Thats every platform that the final game will be on at launch! This version of the demo gives players 60 minutes to play parts of both the castle and village levels.

You Should Hear Resident Evil Village On The Ps5
At first, I only thought Resident Evil Village would look better on the PS5 than the PS4. The newer console’s power, we all know, is just miles ahead of what the previous-gen PS4 offers. But after I played a little bit of RE8, I realized that Ethan Winters’ terrible European vacation was superior on the PS5 because it sounds fantastic there.
That’s because of the PS5’s Tempest 3D AudioTech, which enables dimensional and spatial sound that said the Xbox Series X|S both have spatial audio, via Dolby Atmos and Windows Sonic. I didn’t foresee the PS5’s 3D audio to be a huge difference-maker because my previous experiences with 3D audio with AirPods Pro and Apple TV Plus were a bit gimmicky.
But once I attached my headset to my PS5 controller’s headphone jack , I realized that Resident Evil Village truly comes to life with this more intimate audio. I had a lot of trouble at the end of my time in Castle Dimitrescu, when both Lady Dimitrescu and her daughter Daniela were chasing me. It took me forever to figure out where to go, and only with my headphones on could I get a better sense where one of these tormentors was going to be sneaking up from me from out of my vantage point.
My coworker Denise Primbet confirmed that Resident Evil Village has the same effect, saying that her PS4 got “super loud,” when playing.

Last Gen Versions Confirmed
When Resident Evil 8 was announced it was revealed that the game would be coming to both PS4 and Xbox One, as well as the next-gen PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
Eventually, Capcom announced that the last-gen versions would be cancelled due to them not being powerful enough to run the game without huge sacrifices being made.
Now, during the RE Showcase it was announced that the last-gen ports are back on.
The game will now release on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Resident Evil Village Also Feels Better On Ps5
I first felt the inventiveness of the PS5 DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers when I toyed around with Astro’s Playroom. The freebie PS5 game is mostly great for previewing what’s possible with the L1/L2 and R1/R2 buttons on the PS5, where the game can change the amount of pressure it takes to click.
So, when you’re going from weapon to weapon, and firing the F2 sniper rifle for the first time, you will actually feel the difference. I’m no firearm aficionado, but even I know that every gun you fire should feel different, and it’s great that the PS5 gives you that sensation. The PC and Xbox Series X and S don’t have anything like this.

Resident Evil 8 May Come Out On Ps4 And Xbox One
The new Resident Evil can also come to PS4 and Xbox One.
Although Capcom studio revealed a few months ago that Resident Evil Village will not be released on current-generation consoles, reports from Tokyo Game Show 2020 give hopethat nothing has yet been finally settled. A company representative revealed that the developers are doing their best to bring the new installment of the cult series of survival horrors to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, no promises were made, so this information should not be treated as confirmation of these releases.
The abandonment of current-generation consoles by Capcom to create Resident Evil 8 would allow better use of the power of upcoming Sony and Microsoft devices, but Conflicting reports on target hardware platforms suggest that the company does not know which direction to go. Releasing the game on PS4 and Xbox One would significantly expand the list of potential recipients, but it would involve adapting it to the capabilities of older consoles and compromising in some respects. However, they will not affect the planned changes in the production structure. Capcom revealed at this years Tokyo Game Show that Resident Evil Village will offer much more spacious locations, allowing more freedom in movement and solving puzzles than the previous installment of the series.

Resident Evil 8 Could Be Released On Current
Resident Evil 8 may come to current-gen consoles after being called a next-gen exclusive at its reveal, according to Capcom’s TGS 2020 panel.
Resident Evil Village – the official name for Resident Evil 8 – may end up coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, after previously being announced only for next-gen consoles. Recent rumors suggest that Resident Evil 8 is running into some trouble with the PS5s hardware, but its not clear whether a PS4 port would have the same problems if it were to exist one day.
So far, relatively little is known about Resident Evil 8. Both the games reveal trailer and the name Resident Evil Village debuted in June at a PS5 reveal event. The trailer showcased the games macabre tone and occult elements, and gave players their first look at its new version of Chris Redfield, who appeared to be the games main antagonist, or at least someone whos very much working against the player character, Ethan. A lot of what was revealed in the initial Resident Evil Village trailer had already come to light in leaks, including Chris status as one of the games antagonists and the focus on occult elements including witches, cults, and werewolves.

Does Resident Evil Village Always Look Better On The Ps5
Two of my colleagues have told me that the PS4 versions of the game just don’t look as good either. Denise, who played it on both PS5 and PS4, said “I noticed that the wolfs fur was almost transparent. Maybe the PS4 couldnt handle the graphics?
There is one exception to the PS5’s dominance. The folks at Digital Foundry dug into the differences between the PS5 and Xbox Series X, and found that ray tracing and I had kept on, had slight dips in performance when compared to the Xbox Series X in the third lord’s area.
This is a water-heavy space, so there’s a lot of reflection happening, which leads to ever-so-slight dips. The PS5’s framerate goes as low as 46 frames per second, while the Xbox Series X was closer to the 60 fps standard at that same moment.
That said, having played that level multiple times , I don’t think it’s a huge deal.
Will Resident Evil 8 Village Be On Ps4
Resident Evil Village looks absolutely insane, graphically. Every detail of Ethans new nightmare is so, sonext-gen that the trailers might not even be doing it justice. Horror game fans should rejoice But, how about fans of the series that are stuck with the older consoles? PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are both still hard to find, so this game might come out before everyone can get their hands on the latest hardware. So, will the next part of the Resident Evil series be accessible to those still using the PS4?

Resident Evil 8 Listed For Ps4 By Retailer Leak
German retailer GamesOnly lists Resident Evil 8: Village, the eagerly awaited follow-up to Resident 7: Biohazard, for PS4 on its website.
German retailer GamesOnly listed Resident Evil 8for PS4 on its website, accidentally leaking a potential current-gen version of the still-unconfirmed title. The upcoming sequel follows-up Capcoms 2017 series reboot, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. The game reoriented the franchise, focusing on horror over action and thrusting the player directly into the scares via its first-person perspective.
Resident Evil 8 will be the first new, mainline Resident Evil game in nearly three years, but Capcom has stoked fan demand with two remakes of early entries in the series. Resident Evil 2: Remake updated the 1998 original, switching the perspective from the games notorious tank controls to a modern, over-the-shoulder, third-person perspective. The game also expanded the role of Mr. X, a bulky, blank-eyed monster who stalks Leon Kennedy through the halls of the Raccoon City Police Department. Earlier this year, the company published Resident Evil 3, a reimagining of 1999s Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, to slightly less acclaim.
