Unfortunately, theres no way to stream from a PS4 to a PC using an HDMI cable. Many modern laptops have an HDMI port, but this port is an HDMI Out port. It doesnt accept HDMI inputs at all.

Streaming directly from your PS4 isnt an option you should consider thanks to its inability to provide an amazing viewing experience. When you attempt to stream directly from your PlayStation 4 you are only given a few options to choose through, when you are trying to create an immersive streaming experience this just isnt enough. You can get away with 720p 60fps but you really arent living up to your potential, and no overlays is going to seriously restrict your growth. What you can do instead is take the feed of your PS4 and transfer it to the computer so that can be streamed. Two Connect The Elgato Capture Card
Set Up Ps4 Remote Play
Step 1: On the PS4, open Settings and select Remote Play Connection Settings. The box beside Enable Remote Play must be checked.
Step 2: Back out and select Account Management on the list.
Step 3: Select Activate as Your Primary PS4.
Step 4: Select Activate on the following screen. This tells Sonys servers that your PS4 will now serve as the host for streaming games to any device logged in using the same Sony Entertainment Network account.
Step 5: Back out to the main Settings panel and select Power Save Settings.
Step 6: Select Set Features Available in Rest Mode.
Step 7: Check two settings: Stay Connected to the Internet and Enable Turning On PS4 for Network. These settings allow the remote client device to turn the PS4 on while its in Rest Mode.
With the PS4 now registered to the PlayStation Network as your streaming server, you can move on to the client devices. Note that the PS4 must be connected to the internet and logged in to the PlayStation Network to pair client devices and stream games.

Prepare Your Ps5 For Streaming
First, you’ll need to enable the feature on your PS5. Head to the Settings menu and to go System > Remote Play and flip the Enable Remote Play switch on. You’ll also want to head to Settings > System > Power Saving > Features Available in Rest Mode and turn on Stay Connected to The Internet and Enable Turning on PS5 From Network. That way, if your PS5 is in Rest Mode, you can wake it up remotely for streaming.
You also need to make sure your network connection is strong. If you’re just streaming games from one room of your house to another, internet speed doesn’t matterjust the strength of your home network. .
A decently fast internet connection is required, however, if you’re streaming from a PS5 at home to your phone or tablet somewhere else, like a friend’s house. Sony recommends that both upload speed at home and download speed at your streaming destination be at least 15Mbps, though speeds as low as 5Mbps should work.
Regardless, the game may stutter, lag, or lose connection if you’re far away from the router. For best results, I recommend plugging your PS5 into the router with an Ethernet cable. You should also do the same with the PC or PS4 to which you’re streaming the games. Unfortunately, youll be stuck on Wi-Fi if youre streaming to a phone because Remote Play cannot stream over mobile data.
