Is Ps5 More Powerful Than Xbox Series X Or Vice
The PS5 CPU is a custom third-generation Ryzen chip . As for the PS5 GPU, it’s a heavily customized variant of AMD’s Radeon Navi, which can simulate 3D audio and support ray-tracing. More specifically, it offers 10.28 teraFLOPs and 36 CUs at 2.23GHz. That’s paired with 16GB GDDR6 RAM. In terms of storage, the PS5 packs a custom 825GB SSD running at 5.5GB per second.
In terms of extra storage, while Sony revealed that we would be able to plug in additional SSD support via PCIe 4.0 to expand space for games, it hasnt activated that feature just yet. Given the price of this speed of SSD, its not going to be a cheap endeavor when it is actively turned on but if youre running low on space, you can use regular USB drives to store your games. As announced in a Sony blog post, you just wont be able to run them from the drive and have to transfer to the PS5 before playing.
Now onto the Xbox Series X specs. Like Sony, Microsoft worked with AMD to co-engineer a custom system-on-chip platform . It also has an eight-core Zen 2 system, but the Xbox Series X version clocks in at 3.8GHz. Meanwhile, the GPU can handle 12 teraFLOPs with 52 CUs at 1.825GHz. This allows Xbox Series X to support hardware-accelerated real-time ray-tracing, leading to gorgeous visuals. Finally, the console has 16GB GDDR6 RAM with a hefty 1TB SSD running at 2.4GB per second. If you want more, it can be supported with the official Xbox Series X Storage Expansion Card that offers an extra 1TB of space.
Ps5 Vs Xbox Series X: Design
For the most part, whether you like a consoles design comes down to personal preference. But my personal preference is that I cannot stand how the PS5 looks. Not only is the system comically large its also a pain to switch from vertical to horizontal configuration, and the standard version sports an ugly, asymmetrical design.
The front panel is prone to fingerprints the power and disc eject buttons are indistinguishable. Its rare that I recommend you hold off on a console purchase simply to wait for the prettier redesign, but you should very strongly consider doing that with the PS5.
The Xbox Series X, on the other hand, is still pretty bulky, but manages its space much better. Rather than looking like an oversized router, the Xbox Series X is a sleek black box that looks, at least in its vertical form, kind of like a small tower PC . It has a clearly defined power button, as well as a pairing button to make wireless connections painless.
The only big advantage the PS5 has over the Xbox Series X is the presence of a USB-C port which is a big deal, especially as more accessories get USB-C adapters. But even if the Xbox Series X design is much more conservative, its also much more sensible overall.

Across the world, figures reveal that Sonys Playstation is by far the most popular gaming console. Having released their first model back in December 1994, theyve gone on to claim a staggering 84% of the gaming market, proving once and for all that in gamers eyes theyre superior to anything Microsoft can throw at them. Playstation gets 148/161 of the countries votes vs Xboxs 13 countries
Second Generation: Xbox 360
The Xbox 360 was released as the successor of the original Xbox in November 2005, competing with Sony‘s PlayStation 3 and Nintendo‘s Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles. As of June 2014, 84 million Xbox 360 consoles have been sold worldwide. The Xbox 360 was officially unveiled on MTV on May 12, 2005, with detailed launch and game information divulged later that month at the Electronic Entertainment Expo . The console sold out completely upon release in all regions except in Japan. Several retail configurations of the core Xbox 360 model were offered over its lifetime, varying the amount of RAM and internal storage offered.
The Xbox 360 showed an expanded Xbox Live service , the ability to stream multimedia content from PCs, while later updates added the ability to purchase and stream music, television programs, and films through the Xbox Music and Xbox Video services, along with access to third-party content services through third-party media streaming applications. Microsoft also released Kinect, a motion control system for the Xbox 360 which uses an advanced sensor system.
The second major revision of the Xbox 360 was the Xbox 360 E, released in 2013. It featured a case style similar to the upcoming Xbox One, and eliminated one USB port and the S/PDIF, YPbPr component and S-video connections, but otherwise shared the same specifications as the Xbox 360 S.

Ps4 Vs Xbox One Vs Nintendo Switch: Which Console Actually Won
As the current gaming generation beds in, lets take a look at how the last-gen consoles stacked up against each other.
Well, the dust has all but settled on the last generation’s console wars. Now, we have a new generation of consoles to contend with, and all the bells and whistles they bring. Or, at least, we would do if we could actually get our hands on some stock.
So, now that we’ve entered the next gen, which console actually won the last console conflict? The innovative Nintendo Switch? The steadfast Sony PS4? Or Microsoft’s magnificent Xbox One? Let’s drill down.
So Which Is The Better Console
The PS4 vs. Xbox One debate really comes down to whether you care about exclusives or not. There are a ton of amazing games on PS4 that you cant play on Xbox One. On the other hand, many of the best Xbox One exclusives are also available on PC.
If youre looking to experience all the best games this generation has to offer, the PlayStation 4 Pro is the best console to purchase. But if youre not interested in exclusive titles and just want the most value out of your console, the Xbox One S or Xbox One X is likely the machine for you.

Ps5 Vs Xbox Series X: Picture Quality
As mentioned above, the actual gaming performance of the two consoles is incredibly close, although VRR does give the Xbox Series X the upper hand in terms of fluidity assuming you’ve got a compatible TV.
The long and short of it is that both consoles provide native 4K gaming at frame rates that are often double those of their predecessors, and there’s often extra graphical detail and polish, too. You might be playing the same games as those people still using a PS4 or Xbox One, but there’s no denying the generational upgrade in terms of presentation and performance.
If you’re considering using one of these next-gen consoles as a Blu-ray player, there are things to bear in mind, such as the fact that the Xbox Series X supports Dolby Vision but the PS5 does not. On the other hand, the Xbox Series X is a fair bit louder than the PS5 when spinning a 4K Blu-ray.
Ultimately, neither is up there with even affordable standalone players such as the Sony UBP-X700 for detail and subtlety, although each puts in a perfectly respectable performance.
All told, it’s a case of swings and roundabouts here. Gaming performance is roughly equal, the PS5 is the better Blu-ray player and the Xbox Series X is marginally the better video streamer. Ultimately, which is right for you will depend on your priorities, but this round has to go down as a draw.
** Winner: Draw **
Xbox One Vs Ps: Value
The Xbox One S starts at $299 , putting it on par with the $299 PS4 Slim. However, it’s worth noting that both consoles go on sale all the time, and you can often find them both for as low as $200 . The One S doubles as a 4K Blu-ray player, so you’re arguably getting the most tech for your money with that machine.
If you’re on an extra-tight budget, you can opt for the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition , which has no disc drive and includes Forza Horizon 3, Minecraft and Sea of Thieves. However, the standard Xbox One S drops to that price frequently, so you’re probably better off waiting for a sale and getting the 4K Blu-ray drive for cheap — especially if you don’t want to rely entirely on digital downloads.
Microsoft has recently brought back the Xbox All Access program. This lets you lease an Xbox One S, Xbox One X or Xbox One S All-Digital Edition starting at $19.99 a month for 24 month. According to Microsoft, this program saves you more than $100 compared to purchasing the console and bundled games separately. All Access members can upgrade to the upcoming Xbox Series X console starting late 2020, though there’s no word yet on how much the upgrade will cost.
If you want 4K gaming, Sony’s PS4 Pro costs $399 , while the Xbox One X runs a hefty $499 . That’s a pretty big price gap, though Microsoft’s console offers a richer 4K gaming experience. .
Winner: Xbox One. The $249 Xbox One S is the cheapest console out there and doubles as a 4K Blu-ray player.

The battle between PS4 vs Xbox One has been long-fought and if youre thinking about picking up one of Sony and Microsofts last-gen consoles, then youre probably looking for a definitive result.
Though the PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are the latest and greatest consoles, the PS4 and Xbox One shouldnt be dismissed just yet. New games are still releasing on these platforms and if the latest hardware and native 4K resolutions arent absolutely essential to you, then you can pick up these consoles for excellent prices at the moment.
In fact, with the mid-generation upgrades Xbox One X and PS4 Pro now beginning to be discontinued and stock for both the Xbox Series X and PS5 proving rather scarce, these last-gen consoles are probably still the easiest way to access some of the latest games as well as subscription services like Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Now.
So, if the current-gen battle between PS5 vs Xbox Series X isnt relevant to you just yet, then we can help you decide whether the PS4 or Xbox One is the right console for you by comparing design, prices, features and the games they gave to offer.

Xbox Series X Vs Playstation : Price And Availability In 2021
Both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X retail for $499 in the U.S., albeit with a cheaper PlayStation 5 Digital Edition in production, which cuts the price to $399. Budding Xbox owners wanting to save on next-generation gaming will need to consider Xbox Series S, which delivers much of the same but targeting HD TVs over 4K resolution. But the biggest challenge right now is their availability, with limited stock dominating the conversation around these devices.
The new Xbox and PlayStation consoles are hard to find in early 2021, with limited supply and record demand fostering a challenging landscape for buyers. Recent restocks continue to sell out in seconds, with a thriving resell market valuing the consoles with high price markups. That’s expected to continue throughout the year, only worsened by current world events.
Xbox Series X
Xbox Series X is Microsoft’s new flagship, as its most powerful console with over 12TF GPU performance and a custom SSD. It boasts up to 4K resolution and 120 FPS, full backward compatibility across four generations, and ray-tracing support.

Sony will also launch two consoles in November: the PlayStation 5 , and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition . Both will launch on the same day, but the release is staggered in two waves. The consoles release November 12 in the U.S., Japan, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea, and November 19 in Europe, and the rest of the world.
Outside of the price, the only difference between the two devices is the presence of a physical disc drive. If you want the best deals possible or also want to use your PS5 as a Blu-ray player, the more expensive console is probably the better option.
Sonys earliest PS5 first-party exclusive will be , a follow-up to 2018s critically acclaimed Spider-Man. While exclusive to Sony consoles, the game will also launch simultaneously on PS4.
You can expect a game thats shorter in scope, with Sony also promising a more compact experience, reminiscent of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. The games launch window is holiday 2020 which means it might not be quite ready for the November 12 launch.
The PlayStation 5 does include one pack-in game called Astros Playroom. A follow-up to the PSVR Astro Bot Rescue Mission, the game guides new players around the PlayStation 5s dual-sense controller. It should provide a fun distraction for new owners.
Pro Xbox One: The Xbox One Is A Bastion Of Apps
For Microsoft, this is the big picture. The company wants your Xbox to be a beacon for you to connect with a whole world of content through the Xbox not just games. Theres no doubt Sony would love to be the same thing, but Sony doesnt have an entire ecosystem of products and services theyre filtering through the PlayStation. Windows 10, on the other hand, comes with an Xbox application pre-installed. In Microsofts vision, Xbox should be your home away from your computer, a way to connect to your PC when youre not in front of it. That means apps of all shapes and sizes, made by small developers and big ones alike. Already there are Xbox apps for Reddit, radio, torrenting, etc. Thats on top of basics like YouTube and Netflix.

Supply Demand And Launching During A Pandemic
One year into these two consoles’ lifespans, plenty of people are still waiting to get their hands on one. A cottage industry of publications, Twitter accounts, influencers and YouTubers have popped up to track every restock as gamers who want the latest and greatest fight to walk away with one.One reason for this is a silicon shortage that is part of global supply chain issues. AMD, which makes the chips for both Xbox and PlayStation , has been heavily affected.According to Video Games Chronicle, Xbox boss Phil Spencer told The Wrap at an event in September that “were working hard to bring to market but its going to be a challenge that well work through for quite a while. In Sony’s Q2 2021 results, it stated that “several factors are significantly impacting the supply of the product such as the disruption of the global distribution supply chain and limitations on the supply of components, especially semiconductors,” though it would not be making changes to its sales forecast for the fiscal year.In early November, Nintendo cut its full-year forecast for sales of its Switch console due to chip shortages affecting production. The Switch runs on an ancient Nvidia Tegra X1. Sony and Microsoft are by no means alone in this situation. It’s also a problem in appliances, cars and other non-video game sectors. Not to mention, finding a decent graphics card at relatively sane prices remains virtually impossible.
