My 1.5 month DS4 controller has drift on both controllers. Really bad upward on the left that jumps from neutral to about 90% so a dead zone can’t fix that. It literally has about 40 hours on it. No receipt or any to prove that I purchased it from Best Buy.

Fake controller may better. I am not the only one who has issues with nearly new controllers either.

I fix controllers and drift issues seem quite common on some new controllers. From my limited experience of less than a year, it’s almost always the Polyshine analogue sitcks . I open them up, give them a clean with a cotton tip and Rubbing alcohol and they work fine again.

They often seem to have some gunk in them causing the problem and the fact that the controllers themselves are clean as a whistle, I can oly presume it’s something to do with how the analogue modules are manufactured.

I buy original Ployshine modules to replace like for like when they are worn and even the new ones look like they need a clean before fitting. I now clean them before fiiting as I don’t want people coming back with new drift issues on the same analogue that I fixed a matter of weeks before.
