Now it’s just a case of patiently waiting with an eye on your inbox for an email to arrive. Invites are usually sent out the day before a PS5 restock goes live so you should be able to spot it in time and be ready to follow the link to the PlayStation Direct store in time.
Remember, too, that even with an invite the option to buy a console is not guaranteed – it will just get you a random spot in the queue. Being involved will obviously increase your chances, though. Sometimes they’ll have a restock in the morning, other times in the afternoon and, in some cases, even in the middle of the night. Here are some tips to help you get the jump on the competition.
First tip: Don’t wait until you see an alert for a PS5 inventory drop. Check the links at major retailers for stock updates daily or even multiple times a day. If you do happen upon some PS5 availability, go all-in with as many browsers and devices as possible. On a desktop, for example, open the retailer’s page in Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Then do the same on your phone and tablet. The more devices and browsers, the better. It’s like with lottery tickets: The more you have, the better your chances of winning.
Second tip: Create accounts at the different retailers and make sure you’re already logged in if you’re going to try to get a PS5. Make sure all your shipping, bill and payment info is updated on whatever device you can buy from, whether it’s a laptop, desktop or phone. Why The Ps5 Shortage
While its getting easier to successfully find a PS5 restock, its still far from perfect. Delays are due to the ongoing global chip shortage affecting all electronics, according to supply chain analysts interviewed by The Shortcut. Lockdowns have affected both chip production and shipping times across the world, though your precious iPhone 14 release date by September 16 seems to be on track .
Its not just woes for Sony. US consumers attempting to purchase a PS5 Disc or PS5 Digital Edition console during a restock often get beaten by scripted bots employed by resellers. This has caused PS5 prices and time to get the console to skyrocket.
I have interviewed resellers who use bots to check out rare items and they are able to purchase the PS5 and Xbox before the add-to-cart button is ever shown to normal consumers. Retailers, which dont make much money on the PlayStation 5, have very few options remedies they come up with to fortify their websites are often figured out by resellers updates to PS5 bots within a matter of hours.

After a busy end to July for PS5 restocks we enter a new month with a quiet period for those in the US. However, a restock is rumoured at Walmart this month, according to The Shortcut. Meanwhile, if you’re looking for where to buy a PS5 in the UK, the console is available at multiple retailers right now.
The PS5 has been in stock in the UK for a long time now following a major lack of consoles in the middle of June. It’s still a lot slower in the US, but recent restocks showed it’s now a lot easier to buy a console as it was available for over a day at the PlayStation Direct store. It’s a good sign that we’re past the days when it was practically impossible to buy the console for months on end.
We’ve followed PS5 restocks since the console launched back in November 2020, giving us a solid idea of where to buy a PS5 at any time. Timing is still crucial, so our aim is to give you the most up-to-date PS5 restock info and a regularly updated list of retailers with details on when they might have the console available right here.

Where To Buy The Playstation 5
The PS5 has now been on sale for over a year including two holiday seasons but its sadly just as difficult to buy as ever.
The console has been almost impossible to buy ever since launch, though its slowly getting easier to find. While stock still sells out faster than retailers can supply it, its also re-appearing faster than ever.
The big question now is whether the PS5 will become readily available some time in 2022. Re-stocks are expected between now and the end of the year, but theyre likely to be sporadic, so youll still have to be alert if you hope to buy a console for the next few months.
