The upcoming restock for Sony’s next-gen consoles will only offer the standard PS5. As the trend, expect other retailers like Flipkart, Vijay Sales, Game Loot, Games The Shop, Croma, among others, to also make the PS5 available for pre-order on March 24.
The March 24 restock comes a month after the PlayStation 5 last went on sale in India on February 22. As with the previous PS5 restocks, the console sold out in minutes. As per the banner visible on ShopAtSC, customers will be able to order the PS5 on March 24 at 12 p.m. IST . The consoles will ship from April 8, according to the listing on ShopAtSC. However, it looks like the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition won’t be available to pre-order this time.
Furthermore, Amazon has also announced that it will be restocking the PS5 at the same time. The e-commerce giant has yet to announce when it will start deliveries of the console.
Flipkart, Games The Shop, Game Loot, Vijay Sales, and Croma are expected to restock the next-gen console next week at the same time. Based on what we’ve seen in the past, it can be safely assumed that all of these retailers will also be participating in the replenishment at the same time: March 24 at 12:00 p.m. IST .
Sony Playstation 5 Specifications Features
Talking about the specs, the Sony PlayStation 5 gaming console comes with a custom eight-core AMD Ryzen 2 processor that provides a clock speed of 3.5GHz. The gaming machine has a custom RDNA 2 GPU, 16GB of GDDR5 RAM, and 825GB of PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD storage. The device is capable of delivering 4K resolution at 60 fps and 120 fps. The digital edition of the device doesn’t have the disc drive, while the rest of the specs are the same as the regular version.

Gamestop Confirms More Sony Ps5 Units For Pre
A few hours ago, Gamestop’s official Twitter account confirmed that more PS5 consoles would be made available for pre-orders on 25th September. However, the exact quantity of the consoles wasn’t revealed by the online store.

Gamestop To Open Sony Ps5 Pre
Sony recently confirmed the price, launch date, and pre-order details for their upcoming next-gen console at the PS5 Showcase Event.
The PS5 base model is priced at 499 USD, while the digital version will cost 399 USD. Sony PS5 will release on 12th November 2020 in the US and a few other countries.
The console will receive a global launch on 19th November 2020.

Sony Playstation’s official handle also confirmed that the first phase of pre-orders for PS5 would begin on 17th September, 2020. However, some stores like Walmart and a few others started taking pre-orders earlier than the scheduled time.
As a result, the PS5 pre-orders went haywire, and in less than an hour, the online and offline stores were out of stock.
Playstation 5 Price Vs Xbox Series X Price
So, how does the PS5 compare to the Xbox Series X on price? Better than many expected, as it happens.
The Xbox Series X and the full-fat PS5 are identically priced, at £449 / $500 / AU$749.
Both consoles also have a disc drive-less, cheaper sibling: that’s the Xbox Series S and the PS5 Digital Edition. This is where things get really interesting, because the Xbox Series S costs only £250 / $299,/ AU$499, whereas the PS5 Digital Edition is £360 / $400 / AU$599.
That’s a big step up, but it’s worth pointing out that the Xbox Series S is less powerful than the Series X but the PS5 Digital Edition is identical to the standard PS5 except for the lack of a disc drive. In other words, the PS5 Digital Edition is more of a proper next-gen games console than the Xbox Series S.

Ps5 Price: Compared To The Ps4
When the PS4 released in 2013, PlayStation held the price announcement until the Xbox One had taken the leap first. Once the Xbox One was set at $499 / £429 with a Kinect included in every package, Sony only had to cut the PlayStation Camera from its PS4 bundles to swoop in with a $100 cheaper price tag.
It’s for this competitive reason that Sony was likely holding off on its PS5 price reveal, waiting for Xbox to make the first move again or simply making sure Microsoft doesn’t return the favor in 2020.
So how does the PS5 price compare to that of its predecessors? The PS4 launched for $399 / £350 / AU$599, while the PS3 launched for an astonishing $599 / £425. It was always unlikely we’d see prices reach that high in the US again, though Sony is definitely pitching above the cost of the previous-gen console.

Twitter user Iron Man also claims that UK retailer GAME will start opening up PS5 pre-orders in June.
£50 deposit in store at GAME. No deposit required online if you pay with a Debit or Credit card. Payment will only be taken up to seven days before the November 20, 2020 release date. Preorders begin in the first week of June. GAME will not tell you this until Sony announces it.
You may recall that the same user also posted about the PS5 DualSense controller price recently, something else which hasnt been confirmed by Sony at this point. They also previously claimed the system will retail for $499, and have been pretty aggressive in regards to PS5-related posts.
All we know so far is that the PS5 will launch in holiday 2020. To be fair, November does make sense given previous Sony hardware.

Open Registration For Pre
Sony sent out emails to PlayStation fans, advising they could register for the possibility of being one of the first to pre-order the system through the company directly. Users could register on the companys site by submitting their PSN ID. The site made mention of limited quantities of PS5 systems and advises fans to act fast if an invitation is received.
The companys FAQ page further broke down the number of quantities customers were able to pre-order through the site, allowing only one system per PSN ID, two DualSense controllers, and two Pulse 3D wireless headsets, among other accessories. The other important factor is that this is for customers in the U.S. only, as the FAQ reads any orders that contain a non-U.S. based address will be canceled.
Despite the seemingly organized system, many retailers put the console up for pre-order before Sony could email fans itself, leaving many frustrated. While open registration through Sony is currently closed now, fans have since reported that Sony has sent out another wave of pre-order emails through the list. If you signed up for the program, make sure to keep an eye on your email inbox from now through November.
