Sony has reportedly disabled PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now subscription stacking ahead of the upcoming revamp of the membership services.
A growing number of PS4 and PS5 owners have been unable to extend their memberships over the last few days, and the issue appears to be widespread based on messages sent to PlayStations official support channels and reports on forums including ResetEra.
While PlayStation has yet to officially comment on the matter, a number of affected users claim to have been informed by Sony customer support representatives that the company has temporarily blocked subscription stacking.

Do You Need The Mobile App
There is no mobile app that is dedicated solely to PS Now. In the official PlayStation app, you can click on a link that will take you to the PS Now page. There, you can browse through games currently available with a subscription. Once PS Now merges with the new PS Plus, youll be able to view all games currently available on the new service.
We did notice one strange quirk. Even with your PS Now subscription activated and recognized in the app, they will come up at full price when searching for games. When searching for a game in the PS Store on a PS5 console, it will list whether that game is included in a PS Now or PS Plus subscription.
Its a shame that the mobile app does not show you which games are included with your subscription once youve paid for it. Hopefully, Sony will build on these improvements soon.

What Are The Playstation Now Games
Though PlayStation Now has courted neither the good press of Xbox Game Pass nor the more negative impressions of Google Stadia, it does have its own claim to fame: its games list is enormous. While Stadia still struggles to climb above 30 games and Xbox Game Pass proudly boasts over 100 – and to its credit offers over 200 anyway – PS Nows library is more than 700 games strong, spanning PS2, PS3, and PS4.

Ps Now: Design And Interface
Once you pick a game, the service will connect you to a remote server that will host your session. A few moments later and the game is up and running.
From there, it’s up to you to navigate the respective title’s own menu, settings, controls, and the like. The service doesn’t magically remaster old titles, though, so especially for older games like Ico or Rogue Galaxy, the visual quality will largely depend on how well your television upscales low-resolution content.
If you set up a streaming session, this means there’s no need to download the game though you can now do just that for the PS4 and PS2 libraries on the service. If you’d rather temporarily save a game to your hard drive and plough through it offline than rely on the strength of your broadband connection, the option is there.
PlayStation Now’s interface is incredibly simplistic, maybe overly so. After you get past the paywall titles are separated into categories with featured titles, usually grouped by genre, at the top.
Scrolling down, you’ll find more discrete categories, like 2D fighting games or JRPGs, for example. There are about a dozen categories to pick from, with some titles appearing in multiple categories.
After you pick a game from the list and play it for the first time, the game will appear on the home screen so that you can easily pick it up again in the future.
PlayStation Now hasn’t quite unfolded that way. That’s not to say that the service is bad, mind you. It’s just… different.

It would’ve been great to escape the slog of buying games and returning them for half their value, but that doesn’t seem possible with PlayStation Now in its current state. Publishers haven’t taken to the idea of putting their latest wares on the service, instead opting to put up classics of varying quality.
The other major problem is that, depending on the strength of your connection, every once in awhile, lag can derail your perfect stream in a first-person shooter or send you careening into a wall in a driving game. Worst of all, if you get booted from your game, you can say goodbye to all the progress you made since your last save.

The short answer for Mac users is, sadly, no. PlayStation Now is not currently available on Mac. If youre playing on a Windows PC, however, youre in luck. How Does It Work
