With lockdown easing in the UK, you may be hoping to have a better chance of nabbing a PS5 from a physical store. Unfortunately, that doesnt seem to be the case.
While retailers such as GAME, John Lewis and ASDA have reopened their stores, the console hasnt yet being sold in-store.
That might now be changing as a poster was recently seen in a Smyths Toys store promoting the fact that the PS5 console can now be pre-ordered in the physical store.

Some retailers, such as Argos, are also making the console available via Click and Collect so you can order online and collect it from your local store. There do seem to be regional variations, though, so Click and Collect may not be an option for all retailers or stores. We suggest checking with your local store for details on how it is working in your area.

Original Story: PlayStation is currently experiencing outages across all platforms and it’s affecting online gaming, video services, and the PlayStation Store.
According to the official PlayStation Status tracker and IGN sister site Down Detector, PlayStation’s online services are currently down and there’s no word on when they will resume.
So far PlayStation’s public social accounts have not addressed the outage nor provided an estimated time for a fix. So if you’re trying to play something on your PlayStation system you may want to keep checking back.
IGN will update this story when there are updates regarding the outage so consider this a friendly PSA.

Due to the pandemic, most retailers, including Best Buy and Target, will only sell the console online until further notice. We see restocks happening multiple times in the week from various retailers most notably, we have seen frequent restocks recently appear at Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart in particular. If you are looking for a bundle, retailers like Antonline and Newegg are likely to sell PS5 bundles instead of the actual console.
We have noticed that restocks for the console are more likely to happen later in the week as opposed to earlier in the week. Additionally, places like Newegg are combatting the demand for this console by doing a Newegg Shuffle, which randomly selects winners interested in buying sought-after products.

Update :Phew, it looks like the PSN is finally back on its feet after around three and a half hours of issues. Let’s hope that it’s smooth sailing from here.
Update : It’s been over two hours since the PSN started falling apart, and PlayStation is yet to acknowledge the situation on social media. No updates have been given at the time of writing, and the network’s issues are ongoing.
Original Story: The PlayStation Network is currently experiencing issues across all of its services, with users unable to access account settings, social elements, the PlayStation Store, and, in some cases, online gaming.
Account management being down also means that some users may not be able to play their digital games. The only way to ensure that you digital library is playable offline is to set your console as ‘primary’ on PS4, or, on PS5, enable ‘console sharing and offline play’.
Hopefully this is just a blip, and Sony will have it sorted soon. We’ll update this article if we hear anything more.

Sonys PlayStation 5 console was released back in November last year, but even 10 months later there are still plenty of gamers across the UK and the world who are yet to get their hands on the next-generation machine.
Stock supply issues have plagued the PS5 since its 2020 release, and weve been hearing reports that the situation could continue well in 2022. But dont despair: theyre still regularly available online, and just because its difficult to buy one doesnt mean its impossible. Retailers are now regularly getting consoles.
It has been a busy morning for PS5 stock drops. Consoles are currently available at Argos. Sometime before 11 a.m., a drop will also go live at the retailer GAME. It also seems that a waiting list is now active at Very, so best to act fast.
According to PS5 Stock UK, a Twitter account that tracks console availability, GAMEs priority orders will be delivered by the 20th September, and the rest will be sent to customers by the 24th September. For the Argos stock, it appears that click & collect is currently being made available at many of the Argos stores in the UK.
There are two types of console available to buy a disc edition and a digital edition but some come bundled with games or accessories.

A Ps5 Restock Will Happen At Playstation Direct Today

PlayStation Direct, Sony’s online store dedicated to PlayStation products, had a PS5 restock today for those who received exclusive access emails on Thursday. Unfortunately, the site sold out of consoles before it could be opened to the public.
The restock for the PS5 and PS5 Digital started at 12 p.m. PT for the lucky few who received the email. Typically, PlayStation Direct opens up to everyone two hours later, which would be 2 p.m. PT , but that didn’t happen today. According to one Reddit thread, even people who had exclusive access didn’t make it in time before all the available consoles were sold.

Australian Retailers For Ps5 Pre
The biggest retailer in the world stopped taking pre-orders for the PS5 shortly after they went live, but it looks like they’ll start doing so today, though naturally you won’t be getting a launch unit. Once you’ve placed your order you’ll receive a shipment time frame, which is likely to be in December.

Every retailer was seemingly impacted by shipment delays in April, as it was a pretty dry month for PS5 restocks across the board. However, things picked up massively in May, with retailers receiving a double drop of consoles. Sadly, the same cant be said for June and July, which were both fairly quiet for restocks. August, however, has been absolutely phenomenal. Lets just hope September will continue the pattern of daily console drops.
