New Xbox Games Being Available On Pc And Older Consoles Makes The Series X Feel Less Important
Microsoft has taken a more inclusive approach with games on Xbox platforms. New Xbox originals, like Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5, are still designed to work on older Xbox One consoles and Windows PCs.
These games still perform at high levels on the Xbox Series X, but there are compromises in design that make them feel less advanced when compared to PS5’s top offerings. You can also get even better performance with these titles on a powerful PC, which makes the Series X feel less essential for a premium gaming experience.
Ps5 Vs Xbox Series X: Controller
Another area in which the Xbox Series X plays it safe, to its credit, is in its controller. The Xbox Series X controller is nearly identical to the Xbox One model, save for textured grips and shoulder buttons, an improved D-pad and a new share button in the center.
Its a smart upgrade for one of the best controllers ever made. Still, the fact that it runs on AA batteries instead of a built-in rechargeable unit feels positively archaic, and also pasts a lot of cost onto the end-user, whether they choose to buy AAs or rechargeable packs.
The PS5 DualSense, on the other hand, is a big departure from the DualShock 4, with a two-tone color scheme and much bigger grips. It also adds a variety of new features: extremely sensitive haptics and a built-in mic among them. The haptic feedback is impressive, mimicking the feel of objects rolling around in a box, or putting up realistic resistance when you push a trigger. However, the DualSense still has a ton of wasted space , and the haptics have the potential to take you out of the game as much as they immerse you in it. As an aside, If you’re pondering the PS5 DualSense vs DualShock 4 debate, the new controller comes out on top for sheer innovation alone.
Playing Games Using A Keyboard On Ps3 Ps4 Xbox One And Xbox 360
As mentioned before in this article, support for keyboard and mouse doesnt only depend on the consoles but also the game developers, who make very few games with cross-platform support for PCs and consoles.
While only a handful of multiplayer games like Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and War Thunder support the use of a keyboard and mouse on PS4, you can use a controller emulator that will help you do that or you can go for Sonys DualShock 4 controller.
Both these emulators work with PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
These emulators work as a bridge between your keyboard and the console, translating any keyboard and mouse button presses into DualShock 4 inputs and Xbox controller input .
Basically, these emulators trick your Playstation and Xbox console into believing that youre playing the game using a DualShock 4 controller and Xbox controller, respectively.
Until and unless more developers start supporting cross-platform multiplayer games, the only way to use your keyboard and mouse for playing games on either PlayStation or Xbox consoles is by using an emulator.

Is There Any Way To Play Fortnite On Xbox 360
Even though theres not a native way to play Fortnite on Xbox 360, some might hold out hope that the game could be installed via other means. RGH modded Xbox 360s give users access to all sorts of features Microsoft never intended. Players with one of those consoles might wonder if theres a way to sideload the game.
Unfortunately, the Xbox 360 just doesnt have to power to run Fortnite natively, even with sideloading. It uses the x64 CPU instruction set, so porting the PC version would be the most straightforward way to play. However, the Xbox 360 only has 1/8th of the recommended minimum requirement of 4GB of RAM. The console just doesnt have the power to run a straight port.
Porting the ARM version wouldnt be a better solution as it would either have to run an interpreter to convert the ARM instructions to x64 or ported to native x64. Its possible a complete port of the mobile version may run on the Xbox 360, but it likely would be impossible to connect the the Epic Games servers.
So, the answer to whether Fortnite can be played on the Xbox 360 is a definitive No.

Ps4 Vs Xbox One: The Controllers
When youre comparing controllers between the PS4 and Xbox One, you should consider size, comfort, and battery life but, even beyond these aspects, personal preference is going to go a long way.
The good news is that both conform to your hands better versus the less ergonomic Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.
Microsoft, even further from just improving on the Xbox 360 controller for the Xbox Ones basic controller, released the Xbox Elite Wireless controller back in 2015. This gamepad, directed towards pro gamers, includes four back pedals, two settings for the left and right shoulder buttons, swappable analog sticks and a new and improved D-pad. All of these amazing features come at a premium though, costing $149 or £119.
There’s also a newer version of the pro gamepad available with the Xbox Elite Wireless Series 2 controller, which improves greatly on its predecessor but will cost you £159 or $179.
Sony’s DualShock 4 also improves on the previous generation. The handles of the PS4 controller are a lot easier to grip and are more comfortable when playing for extended periods. Plus, the analog sticks now have a nice divot, making precise movements a lot easier.
With the newer DualShock 4 that’s come out alongside the slimline PS4, the controller has seen a further improvement with the addition of a wired connectivity mode, which eliminates the input lag associated with Bluetooth connections.

Did Fortnite Come Out On The Xbox 360
Fortnite launched in 2017, four years after the release of the PS4 and Xbox One. Most gamers would think that was far too late for the game to release on Xbox 360, but new titles were still coming to the console at that point. The last game for the Xbox 360, Just Dance 2019, was released on October 23, 2018.
Given that Epic Games has released Fortnite on just about every platform imaginable, it makes sense that it may have targeted the Xbox 360 for a release. Unfortunately, theres no native copy of Fortnite available for seventh-gen consoles.
Can You Play Xbox 360 Games On Xbox One
Yes, an Xbox One user can play games that are available on Xbox One itself, along with those launched on the Xbox 360, and even the original Xbox. This is because the Xbox One comes with a feature called backward compatibility.
For those unaware, backward compatibility allows users to play most of the video games that were originally designed for the older consoles. So if you wish to replay an old Call of Duty Game or Grand Theft Auto IV, but you no longer have your 360 console, the Xbox One will actually handle it.

Okami Is Heavily Inspired By Zelda And Will Especially Please Fans Of Wolf Link From Twilight Princess
For anyone who loved the sequences in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess where players get to control Wolf Link, Okami offers more of that sort of feeling. Even Zelda fans who aren’t partial to that particular entry though can find something to enjoy, as Okami is very much a Zelda-inspired title throughout.
Okami’s visuals are striking, but there’s a great game experience to be had here too. The original version was released back on the Playstation 2 and the Wii, but a modernized HD remaster made it to a wide variety of platforms. Players can enjoy Okami HD on Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PCs as well.
Xbox Series X And Series S
Microsoft has been more ambitious with backward compatibility. The $499 Xbox Series X and $299 Series S play original Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One games. That’s four generations of games, stretching back to the first console’s 2001 launch.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original Xbox on Nov. 15, the company added more than 70 games to its backward compatibility catalog. However, it noted that this would be the last batch of old games it would make playable on its new consoles.
Old games get a visual boost on the Series X and Series S, by way of high dynamic range graphics. The new consoles’ hardware may also reduce game loading times and increase frame rates. It also offers the Quick Resume feature.
It also made several Xbox and Xbox 360 games available via Xbox Cloud Gaming, which means Xbox Game Pass subscribers can play them on an Android device.
Your Xbox 360 is largely irrelevant thanks to the Series X’s ability to play old games.

Ps5 Vs Xbox Series X: Games
The PS5 and Xbox Series X have fundamentally different approaches to game libraries. The Xbox Series X assumes youll pick up the same games you left off on the Xbox One, and will want optimized performance across the board for all favorites. The PS5, on the other hand, has a bevy of exclusive titles that launched alongside its new console although most of them are also available on the PS4, to be fair.
At present, its hard to deny that the PS5 has the more exciting game selection. Just in terms of first-party titles, the PS5 launched with Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Demons Souls, Sackboy: A Big Adventure and the surprisingly delightful Astros Playroom.
Compare and contrast with the Xbox Series X, which didnt have any exclusive titles at launch. Instead, Microsoft released a list of 30 optimized for Xbox Series X/S titles, including fan favorites like Gears 5, Ori and the Will of the Wisps and Forza Horizon 4. While the Xbox Series X optimizations are indeed impressive, not all of these games are brand new, and theyre all available on Xbox One, PC or both.
Because of its superior game selection , one staffer chose the PS5 over Xbox Series X. But Microsoft’s stable of titles should improve as time goes on. You can also check our PS5 exclusives vs. Xbox exclusives story to see how the two libraries stack up.

Ps5 Vs Xbox Series X: Price
Both the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X cost $500 apiece. Since the two systems are very similar, this category would seem to be a tie at first glance. However, the standard PS5 and Xbox Series X are not the only variants available. Theres also the $400 PS5 Digital Edition and the $300 Xbox Series S.
The PS5 and the PS5 Digital Edition are identical, save for a 4K Blu-ray physical disc drive in the former. The latter has no disc drive, as the name suggests. On the other hand, the Xbox Series S has significantly different hardware from the Xbox Series X: a less-powerful GPU, a smaller SSD, less RAM and so forth.
As such, both consoles have cheaper variants, and both the PS5 Digital Edition and the Xbox Series S have legitimate applications: the former for digital diehards, the latter for casual players or secondary setups. Still, since the Xbox Series S is a somewhat different system, and not just a console variation, it’s hard to pick a definitive winner. Both full-fledged systems cost the same amount of money that’s the most important thing at the moment.
Are Ps4 And Xbox One Backward Compatible
The Xbox One vs PS4 comparison first got really interesting at E3 2015. After teasing Xbox 360 emulation, Microsoft announced Xbox One backward compatibility for Xbox 360 games. This was expanded to original Xbox games at E3 2017.
“We won’t charge you to play the games you already own,” jabbed Microsoft at Sony during its E3 press conference. Over 400 disc and downloadable Xbox 360 and Xbox titles will work on Xbox One, and the features of the newer console like streaming and taking screenshots crosses over to older games.
Microsoft launched Xbox One backward compatibility in November 2015, and a recent update saw its functionality expanded to include multi-disc games. Since then, the manufacturer has continued to bring more and more games to the console.
Microsoft’s game subscription service, Xbox Game Pass, has allowed subscribers to delve into hundreds of Xbox games from past and present, bringing a large number of Xbox titles to one platform as well as some EA titles and Bethesda titles.
Sony’s PlayStation Now service, like Game Pass, is a game subscription service that, in exchange for a flat monthly fee, gives you access to a library to hundreds of games. In terms of quantity of games, it wins out but Xbox has the edge when it comes to quality as Xbox puts its latest releases on Game Pass on day one, which PlayStation doesn’t with PS Now.
