You only had to follow the story of PS5 pre-orders to know just how in-demand the PlayStation 5 console was in the run-up to launch. It was the number one product during the winter holiday season and, as such, gamers the world over are currently still struggling to land a system.
More consoles were promised by Sony during the PS5’s launch week, although we’re looking at online orders only. The PlayStation 5 release date was November 12 in the US and Australia, and November 19 in the UK and Europe. As for the PS5 price, the console costs $499 in the US, £449 in the UK, 499 in Europe and AU$749.95 in Australia.

Ps5 Black Version Pre
As the PS5 pre-orders began on 17th September 2020, there was not a black PlayStation 5 in sight. This did not stop the next-gen console from selling out almost immediately, with countless retailers running out of stock in mere minutes. This trend has continued ever since, through numerous restocks from the likes of Currys, Argos and .
If youre waiting to pre-order a black PS5, we do not know when they will open. The variant has yet to be officially announced. However, wed expect the same retailers shipping the white PS5 to also hold stock of a black version. Its worth keeping those links around for when pre-orders go live.

Update: Black Ps5 Console Covers Finally Announced
Weve been waiting a long time, but that wait is finally at an end. Today, Sony announced some new customisation options for the PS5. This includes the long-wished for black faceplates. So while this may not be a black console right out of the box, it does now allow players to have a fully black console, should they wish.
Alongside the announcement of the black console covers, Sony announced new DualSense controller colours Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple. These are due to go on sale worldwide in January 2022.
The console covers Midnight Black, Cosmic Red, Nova Pink, Starlight Blue and Galactic Purple have a slightly different release schedule. The black and red covers will also be available in January 2022 in the following locations: USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Korea, and the Philippines. The pink, blue and purple covers will launch later in the first half of 2022 in the same places. Sony hopes to release these in additional territories through the course of the year.
Additionally, if you live in the US, UK, France, or Germany, some of these products will be available via early access via direct.playstation.com. The Midnight Black console cover will launch on the website January 21, before becoming more widely available from February 18.

The PlayStation 5 is proving to be much more than a simple evolution.
More than a year after its November 12, 2020 debut, the PS5 is well on its way to being a major success story for Sony.
Despite supply issues, Sony’s latest console has sold more than 10 million times worldwide, making it the biggest console launch in US history.
In the UK, the console was made available to buy on November 19, 2020 and sold out instantly.
The PlayStation 5 comes in two forms – the PS5 console: £449.99 and the PS5 Digital Edition console: £359.99.
The only difference between the PS5 console and the PS5 Digital Edition console is the inclusion of an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive in the PS5 console. The PS5 Digital Edition console does not feature a disc drive.

However, stock and production issues have made it tough for fans to actually get their hands on either one, with some buyers last year finding their PlayStation 5 shipments arriving as cat food, or even a bag of grain instead.
And the restock issue is still continuing to this day, with shoppers scrambling to get one in time for Christmas.
Due to demand, a number of retailers are limiting how many they can actually sell to customers, and equally production is being limited to suppliers too, to cope with the surge.
BT have also joined in, offering broadband customers a limited supply of both PlayStation 5 consoles.

Ps5 Review: Unboxing And Design
I’m a fan of the PS5’s futuristic, flared design.
As can be seen in T3’s PS5 unboxing video, the PlayStation 5 is an absolute beast of a console in terms of proportions. This is a system that tops out at just under 40cm in height, and is 26cm deep, and 10cm wide. If you want something that’s compact and easy to conceal in your entertainment setup, the PS5 isn’t it.
The console comes in a compartmentalised white cardboard box, which as well as securely holding the hardware, also delivers its base, DualSense controller, cables, and paperwork.
The PS5 base is something that is unique to Sony in the next-gen, with Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S eschewing them due to their rather fatter, more traditional and stable designs, which are rectangular prisms.
The base can be affixed to the console either in its vertical or horizontal orientation, although it’s obvious that the primary usage is for when positioning vertically. The base screws into the PlayStation 5’s base in the vertical position, and just clamps on to one of its flared case wings when displayed horizontally.

When it comes to the console’s design, specifically, as I mentioned in the verdict above, I’m a big fan. The PS5 design is something that has firmly split opinion among gamers, but for me I think its size, and futuristic, flared design generates a sense of awe and power.
I think the vents at the console’s top look class.
Major Ps5 & Ps5 Games Announced For Rest Of 2022
Few release dates have been announced for after March 2022, although a lot of exciting games are expected to drop by the end of the next year.
Hogwarts Legacy and The Lord of the Rings: Gollum both have the potential to be among the best titles of their respective licenses, while DC fans have Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and WB Games Montréal’s Gotham Knights to look forward to.
Forspoken and Saints Row already have release dates, and both games have quite a bit of hype surrounding them. Some other big games that have a tentative 2022 release plan are Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Evil West, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, and Shadow Warrior 3.

How Much Is The Ps5
The PS5 disc edition costs £449.99, while the PS5 digital edition is cheaper at £349.99. The standard PS5 is the exact same price as the new Xbox series x conveniently also out of stock at most retailers. But the Xbox series s is cheaper than the PS5 digital edition, costing just £249. When Is Valorant Coming Out On Ps4 Or Ps5
Valorant is not coming out on the PS4 or PS5 anytime soon, and its possible that it may never come out on the PS4 at all.
In June, Riots Anna Donlon gave an interview with Polygon where she discussed the status of Valorant console ports. After confirming Valorant Mobile, she declared that a PS4 or PS5 port of the game wont be coming until after Valorant Mobile. Donlon stated that the transition from PC to consoles wasnt looking good for Valorant.
Oddly enough, I actually do think the transition to mobile has been slightly easier for us. Consoles obvious for FPS, rightBut this type of game, a tactical shooter, on console is not easy. Its not easy to have that level of competitive integrity on a platform where the controller is fighting you for that, Donlon said.
Exactly why Riot isnt able to make Valorant work on consoles is unknown, as numerous other hero shooters have successfully been executed on consoles. Though PC is the preferred platform for almost all first-person shooters, Overwatch and Apex Legends have both been faithfully recreated on consoles. Even Fortnites building mechanics have been pulled off on the PlayStation and Xbox.
The key difference here may be the degree of precision aiming that is consistently required in Valorant, while only sometimes being necessary in most FPS games that have been ported to consoles.

Major Games In Development With No Release Year Or A Post
Some of the biggest games currently in development have yet to give any inkling about when a release can be expected. GTA 5 Enhanced Edition delayed to March 2022Rockstar’s GTA 5 Enhanced Edition has been delayed to March 2022. The news was revealed during Sony’s PlayStation Showcase 2021 event, which means the game will no longer hit its original release date of November 11, 2021.
4K at 60 FPS on PS5?
The German PlayStation Blog may have spilled the beans on some features players can expect when they return to Los Santos this November. Namely, the current-gen versions of GTA 5 will support 4K at 60fps, at least on PS5.
The blog entry loosely machine translated reads: You have never seen the criminal metropolis Los Santos so beautiful when the skyline shines thanks to a bold graphic update in crisp 4K resolution and you make the city extremely smooth and unsafe thanks to a smooth 60 FPS.
Rockstar has yet to reveal any official details about Grand Theft Auto 5s current-gen update, so while the official PlayStation blog is as trusted a source as we can get until then, its still best taken with a grain of salt until the developer itself confirms support for 4K and 60 FPS.
Its also worth noting that these details specifically relate to the PS5 version of GTA 5, and the post doesn’t say anything about how the game will perform on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles.
