This is the highest Destiny 2 Twitch ranking since the release of the game. Twitch viewer counts vary in a very interesting way after the release of each game some games are just irresistible for gamers, and they play them as well as watch them. Destiny 2 has gone down the Twitch charts of most watched games, but its still in the top 50. Unlike games like Titanfall, for example. Rainbow Six Siege is probably about as far from a dead game as you can get, and really, its never been anywhere close to struggling. Even during its rough early days, it enjoyed some solid figures that most multiplayer games could only dream of.
In its launch month in December 2015, Siege boasted peak player figures of 18,130 on Steam with its lowest ever count coming in March 2016 with 11,234 players and 6,125 players on average. Those arent bad player figures by any stretch of the imagination.
In March 2021, Siege stormed to 85,157 players on average, and 199,830 peak players, its highest ever record that will almost certainly get shattered again at some point in the future.
To put these player figures into perspective, five years after launch, Rainbow Six Siege is more than ten times more popular than it was during its earliest days. The vast majority of multiplayer games tend to land hot and then plateau very quickly, so Siege is definitely an outlier as a game that keeps growing instead of fading. Really, its right up there with Among Us in terms of turnaround successes. And these figures are for PC only, there are doubtless thousands more playing at any given time on PlayStation and Xbox.

Here’s how to start a Share Play session with a friend. You can start a session whether you have a PS4 or a PS5.
1. On the Invite Players screen, add the friend you want to start a party with by searching for them, or select them from your friends list. Follow the instructions and choose Send Invitation.
2. Load the game you want to play.
3. Press the on your DualShock 4 controller.
4. Choose on your TV screen.
5. Select the friend you want to share your game with from your list. After they accept your invitation, your game systems will link and the 60-minute session will start. After the session expires, you can immediately restart another session and pick up where you left off.

Fortnite is one of the most popular free to play games in the world right now. The player base for Epic Games’ survival game has evolved rapidly since its early access launch in 2017, but how many people play Fortnite?
Its claimed that the Fortnite player count now exceeds that of GTA Online on console. According to data from Super Data Research, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds , another incredibly popular game with a Battle Royale mode, is still played more on PC, but Fortnite is catching up.
Although Fortnite launched into early access first on PC, it’s now available on PS4 and Xbox One. Epic also launched Fortnite Mobile recently which has significantly grown the player base.

Sony’s new feature, My PS4 Life, isn’t just good for standing in awe at how many hours you’ve put into No Man’s Sky. Through the ingenuity of some users, it’s also become a way to determine how many total users certain titles have garnered since release.
A website called Gamstat has appeared with a method of extrapolating total users of a given game from the information provided by a user’s rarest trophy aquired. Essentially, My PS4 Life will show a user the total number of users who have acquired the rarest trophy they possess. That, combined with the percentage of players can be used to determine a good estimated total users for a game. For example, as Gamestat explains:
“Say, 1,142,392 players earned the “Cradle” trophy in No Man’s Sky. And on playstation.com they also reveal that 28,9% of all players got this trophy. Simple math: the total number of people who have played No Man’s Sky on PS4 = 1,142,392 * 100% / 28,9% = 3,952,913.”
The information can be acquired for any PlayStation 4 game provded you can see someone’s rarest trophy, though trophies that are too rare don’t give a good estimate. The other caveat is that number of players who have earned a trophy was likely last updated between the end of November and beginning of December, so the trick doesn’t work for newer games.
