Sony Ps5 Controller What Do We Know
The October announcement also revealed details about the PS5 controller.
Sony’s new controller will feature haptic feedback that replaces the “rumble” technology typically found in joypads.
The term “haptic” literally means “relating to touch”, and so it’s about providing better touch feedback to your hands.
That means more vibrating motors in your controller in places like the triggers and even joysticks to give what PlayStation calls “a broader range of feedback”.
“Crashing into a wall in a race car feels much different than making a tackle on the football field,” said PlayStation boss Jim Ryan.
“You can even get a sense for a variety of textures when running through fields of grass or plodding through mud.”
The new controller will also feature adaptive triggers technology built into the L2 and R2 trigger buttons.
Developers will be able to program the resistance of these triggers so you can feel the “tactile sensation of drawing a bow and arrow”, for instance.
Game creators are already receiving early versions of the new controller.
Ninth Generation Of Video Game Consoles
|Part of a series on the|
The consoles represent significant performance upgrades from the prior Xbox One and PlayStation 4, adding faster computation and graphics processors, support for real-time ray tracing graphics, output for 4K resolution, and in some cases, 8K resolution, with rendering speeds targeting 60 frames per second or higher. Internally, both console families introduced new internal solid-state drive systems to be used as high-throughput memory and storage systems for games to reduce or eliminate loading times and support in-game streaming. The Xbox Series S and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition lack an optical drive while retaining support for online distribution and storing games on external USB devices.
The positioning of these consoles as high-performance computing devices places competitors such as the Nintendo Switch and cloud-gaming services such as Stadia and as overlaps from the prior eighth generation of video game consoles.
How Much Will The Ps5 Cost
Hardware makers generally avoid giving pricing details until fairly late in the game, and since the PS5 is launching in fall 2020, dont expect Sony to announce the price until later this year. At this point, any numbers would be pure speculation the company may still be finalizing the hardware, and the components will be the main factor in setting the systems cost.
The last time around, Sony took the wind out of Microsofts sails by launching the PS4 at $399, $100 cheaper than the Xbox One . A generation before that, the high-end Xbox 360 at $399 was $100 cheaper than the low-end PS3 at $499. Cerny told Wired that the company is thinking about a price that will be appealing in light of advanced feature set.
From everything we know about the Xbox Series X and the PS5 at this point, the two consoles are on similar footing when it comes to their hardware components and capabilities. It would be fascinating to see Microsoft and Sony go head to head with two consoles at the exact same price point, wouldnt it?

So how does that compare to the PS5’s biggest rival, the Xbox Series X and S?
Microsoft’s pair of next-gen consoles came out a little earlier, landing on November 10.
The cheaper disc-free Xbox Series S costs £249/$299, while the Xbox Series X comes in at £449/$499.
Amazon Ps5 Restock Date
No one knows when Amazon will release its PS5 consoles for sale or if it even has any. However, it’s surprise PS5 restock on Prime Day is a sign anything can happen. In fact, Amazon PS5 restocks are the most unpredictable and they tend to occur overnight. Another thing to keep in mind Amazon restocks tend to sell out in seconds. So you’ll want to try this of getting a console.

Will The Ps5 Come In Black Heres Everything You Need To Know
Its now been almost six months since Sony first launched the PS5, yet there doesnt appear to be a black PS5 edition in sight. The first waves of PS5 stock which have released in limited quantities are made up entirely of the white PS5, to the dismay of many.
However, as stock levels gradually increase and more gamers get their hands on a base PlayStation 5 console, it could finally be time for Sony to turn its attention to a variant on its PS5 design.
Releasing a black PS5 could draw the PS5 further comparisons to its competitor- the Xbox Series X. The Series X first launched in white, but similar to PS5 fans, Xbox fans also expressed interest in a white Xbox Series X console.

What’s Happening With Ps5 Psvr
Sony has officially announced that it is working on a PS5 PSVR headset, and although it won’t launch in 2021, it aims to offer players “the ultimate entertainment experience with dramatic leaps in performance and interactivity”.
That’s according to a PlayStation Blog post on the subject anyway, which sadly didn’t give us any glimpses at what the PS5 PSVR will look like.
What we do know though is that it’s going to offer “a next-gen VR system that enhances everything from resolution and field of view to tracking and input. It will connect to PS5 will a single cord to simplify setup and improve ease-of-use, while enabling a high-fidelity visual experience.”
There will also be a new VR controller that goes with the new headset. It will incorporate some of the key DualSense features , but also focus on “great ergonomics”.
“Theres still a lot of development underway for our new VR system, so it wont be launching in 2021. But we wanted to provide this early update to our fans, as the development community has started to work on creating new worlds for you to explore in virtual reality,” explains Hideaki Nishino, senior VP of platform planning and management at Sony.

What About The Ps5 Controller
The controller has undergone some massive changes, and is now dubbeed the DualSense:
Aside from the striking black-and-white colour scheme there are a few things to note straight away. First up, the face buttons have lost their colour-coding, so you’ll have to get good at remembering which shape goes where. The light bar – rumoured to be getting cut from the new pad – is in fact still here, but now sits to either side of the touch-sensitive pad in the controller’s centre.
The Share button has been renamed the Create button, and Sony has teased it could have better integration with streaming or social media services for sharing content. There’s also an integrated microphone, removing the need for a dedicated headset , and USB-C charging is a welcome 2020 touch.
As for the actual controls, things are mostly the same. Adaptive triggers on L2 and R2 are the big upgrade, which when paired with improved haptic feedback will allow you to feel the tension of pulling back a bowstring, in Sony’s example.
Even cooler, in a blog post where devs talk up the controller’s new features the director of Arkane’s upcoming shooter Deathloop revealed that they’re able to physically lock the DualSense triggers when your in-game weapon jams, so you get an immediate physical cue that something’s gone wrong.

When Was The Ps5 Released
The PS5 was released on 19 November in the UK and sold out instantly. Some of the people who pre-ordered the console on Amazon found themselves greeted with not a shiny new PS5, but a bag of grain, a grill or some cat food instead. Despite being out for more than eight months now, the PS5 is still extremely difficult to find.

Is Ps5 Backward Compatible
The PlayStation 5 is confirmed to be backward compatible with the overwhelming majority of PlayStation 4 games, although Sony has not released a full list of supported games. An even smaller subsection of backward compatible games will run in boost mode, allowing them to take advantage of the consoles additional power and run better than before. Not all games will support this feature, and again, a full list of compatible games has yet to be released. Games that dont support PS5 enhancements can also run in PS4 or PS4 Pro Legacy mode, allowing them to be played as they were on those machines. The PS5 will not play PS1, PS2, or PS3 games.
Ps: Everything You Need To Know About The Sony Playstation 5
The PlayStation 5, or PS5, is the latest console from Sony, arriving in November last year. There are two variations – one disc-based, one digital – and sadly there have been stock shortages since the console launched that make both very difficult to grab right now. But, both consoles though deliver unprecedented decreases in loading times, higher game resolutions and framerates, and overall performance. Outside of performance though, the PS5 aims to continue Sony’s legacy of delivering top-tier exclusives with its roster of upcoming PS5 games.
That will include PS5 exclusives and cross-platform titles that are currently confirmed as the upcoming PS5 games, which is currently a very exciting list of titles. Sadly, retailers are still plagued by PS5 restock issues, meaning it’s incredibly difficult to buy one right now. But, if you’re wondering whether it’s worth tracking one down, we’re here to help.

Are Shorter Console Life Cycles The Future
Game consoles represent huge investments for consumers. Between the games, the accessories, and the subscriptions, its no wonder people get angry when we bring up the concept of yet another console. Boy oh boy, though, do people get angry! If you try to bring up the subject on forums like Reddit, expect to get sufficiently ripped a new one, as it were.
People are protective of their investments, which results in kind of a hostile and hush-hush environment for people like us who dare to dream. Whats interesting though is the double standard that exists in the world of technology. Bear with me for a moment here, lets consider something:
- A new iPhone or Samsung Galaxy phone comes out each year and people rush to buy it, no questions asked.
- A new console is hinted at, but wont be out for several years, and people lose their minds
Whats the deal? I get that these two examples cater to different types of consumers, but seriously? The level of acceptance versus the level of hostility is just insane. Heres the problem though: technology outpaces consoles insanely fast. Anyone who is a PC gamer will know, just when you think you have the greatest rig, a new GPU or CPU comes out and suddenly youre obsolete again.
If games took the form of apps and streamed to your television from cloud servers, then Sony would have no need to release new consoles. Instead they would sell the games through these streaming boxes and possibly offer a subscription like PlayStation Now as well.
What Is The Ps5 Dualsense Controller Like
Modern looking, immersion, wireless and no need for a headset those are your top wins of the new DualSense controller.
The new PS5 DualSense controller builds on the merits of the current DualShock controller. The key for Sonys new PlayStation is the idea of a truly immersive gaming experience and, through the new design controller, should provide a much greater feeling of touch. According to Sonys examples, this means youll be able to feel the slow grittiness of driving a car through mud and experience the tension in actions like drawing a bow to shoot an arrow.
The DualShock 4s Share button has been replaced with a Create button-the addition is a way for players to create epic gameplay content to share with the world, or just to enjoy for themselves.
There is also a built-in microphone, which will mean gamers can jump in and out of conversations easily without necessarily needing a headset to do so. It is, of course, wireless too and as for charging it, a one hour charge will give you six hours of gameplay.
A firm based in Argentina called Evzen have also shared some close-up shots of the controller on and it displays not only the printed, iconic, symbols on the buttons, but they are etched in across the whole controller.
There are also rumours that the controller could be designed to recognise you based on how you hold it. We do not expect this to be featured at launch but it will quite the nifty update should it ever come along.

When Will Sony Announce A Black Ps5
Sony has remained quiet about any console or console variant, which means we cannot be 100% certain about a black PS5s existence until an announcement arrives.
It seems unlikely that a black console will be ready for a while, following comments from PlayStations Head of Global Marketing, Eric Lempel, in an interview with Geoff Keighley.
When pressed by Keighley about different coloured controllers or consoles, Lempel stated: Right now, its a hard enough job to get the unit we showed out so, well talk about it at some point.
With this problem still existing now as we venture further into 2021, it could be a while before the black PS5 announcement.

Ps5 Redesign Reported For 2022 But Will It Be Black
Much like the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch Pro, the PS5 is reportedly set to receive a hardware redesign next year. As reported by DigiTimes , the semiconductor manufacturer TSMC is ramping up plans for the new PS5 revision, which also includes a new AMD 6nm CPU.
While the Switch did not receive this hardware upgrade in 2021 , this rumour is still floating around for the PS5.
This would be the perfect chance for Sony to release colour variants of the PS5, but unfortunately, it seems this may not be the case. According to these reports, the redesign will focus on the internal components of the next-gen console.
However, there is still hope for a black PS5
