When Is The Ff7 Remake Part 2 Release Date

So far, Square Enix hasnt announced a release date for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2. Unlike part one, which was revealed five years before launch, the company has kept very quiet about FF7 Remake Part 2. For now, we dont know when the game will release, how many games will be in the FF7 Remake series, or any of the story content. Wed bet that we wont see it until after the release of Final Fantasy XVI at the earliest.

Square Enix is likely being more secretive because the second part of the story will likely take us farther off the rails. While the first part didnt veer too far off track until the last quarter, the events that transpired are enough to influence what happens after the team leave Midgar heavily.

If we had to guess, Part 2 will start with the Nibelheim flashback at Kalm, and well see a subversion of events. Since Cloud had contact with Sephiroth multiple times in the first game, he may discover that his version of events is a lie much earlier in the game. We may also see Zack make his way to Kalm. However, wed bet on a B plot of the game being Zack having to trail the party across Gaia.

Its hard to tell where the party will end up by the end of FF7 Remake Part 2. Depending on how many games are on the series, we may cover quite a bit of ground. Alternatively, if Square Enix plans on four or more games, we might only make it through the trip across the sea to the Western Continent .

Final Fantasy : Remake Part 2 Release Date

We don’t have any news on when to expect the second part of what is sure to be an epic adventure. In fact, the most recent Final Fantasy news we got was that the sixteenth instalment will be a PS5 exclusive, while FF14 Online continues to forge its own path. With the franchise never far from players’ minds, it could be that Square Enix waits until it has more concrete information about Part 2 especially since Part 1 was considered vaporware for years.

When Is The Release Date

Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 will have one director ...

Square Enix originally confirmed that work had begun on Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 back in November 2019, even before the first part of the Remake had been released on PS4.

At this point, we do not currently have a definitive date of release for the game however, were expecting that Square Enix will be looking to utilize the full power of the PS5, giving the development team as long as possible to get the next element of this massive franchise as perfect as possible.

The first game was released in April 2020, so we can probably expect Part 2 of the Remake to be released around April 2022, giving Square Enix two years from the original release to create the sequel.

The hype surrounding the next game in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake series is huge, and fans are hoping that they will be able to experience open-world elements of the game now that they are venturing outside of Midgar.

It is not confirmed exactly how many Parts Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be in total, although if Square Enix are able to churn out excellent titles piecemeal then they will likely try and adopt that feature going forward.

There are reportedly more Remakes in the works for Square Enix, with Final Fantasy IX being the next Playstation classic to potentially be seeing a complete Remake and adaptation to modern-day consoles.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is a 2020 action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix. It is the first in a planned series of games remaking the 1997 PlayStation game Final Fantasy VII. Set in the dystopiancyberpunk metropolis of Midgar, players control mercenary Cloud Strife. He joins AVALANCHE, an eco-terrorist group trying to stop the powerful megacorporation Shinra from using the planet’s life essence as an energy source. The gameplay combines real-timeaction with strategic and role-playing elements.

Remake was announced in 2015 following years of speculation. Several key staff members returned, including character designer Tetsuya Nomura as director, director Yoshinori Kitase as producer, scenario writer Kazushige Nojima as story and scenario writer, event planner Motomu Toriyama as a co-director, and composer Nobuo Uematsu who returned to write the game’s main theme. The staff redesigned the characters to balance realism and stylization. While the veteran Japanese Final Fantasy VII voice cast returned, the English voices were recast.

Of Course Ff6 Ps5 Exclusivity Has Its Benefits

Still, that demand for PS5s is there for a reason. Final Fantasy 7 Remake continuing a trend of timed exclusivity on PlayStation feeds into the strong base the console line has been building. PlayStation has been known for a long time, especially during the PS4 generation, to have a very strong exclusive lineup that rewards players for putting in the time and money to get into it. An especially nice trait is the tendency for games to go on steep discounts a few months after they come out. When some people are able to get a PS5, Intergrade probably wont be at their full price around that time. If approached with knowledge of how Sony does things, there are plenty of opportunities for good value.

Those opportunities will likely continue into the future, especially where Square Enix is concerned. Square has a good relationship with Sony, and a large part of that is its ability to cut loose and really test a consoles graphical capabilities. Since the original Final Fantasy, Square has always had a focus on presentation, and eventually ditched Nintendo platforms for Sony ones just to make its first 3D entries look as good as they possibly could. With the power of the SSD, as well as the rest of the PlayStation 5s powerful architecture, first-party Square Enix titles designed for the PS5 will look incredible. And with smart usage of the DualSenses haptic feedback, they could feel incredible too, in ways other skews could not reproduce.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 On Ps4

For the sake of speculation, say Square Enix did decide to keep Final Fantasy 7 Remake on PS4. As odd as this would be, it could theoretically work thanks to the backwards compatibility features on PS5. Keeping it as a PS4 game would allow the developers to maintain most of the systems from the first part without having to rewrite code for PS5, and theoretically the game would still be playable on that console anyway thanks to backwards compatibility. Naturally, this would come with its own set of drawbacks as well.

Of course, the downside of this is that the game will still feel like a PS4 game. Without specific adjustments made to tailor the game as a PS5 experience, certain next generation features may be absent or lacking. This does help with the issue of audience though, as players with either a PS4 or PS5 would be able to enjoy the game in its entirety. It just may be a slightly disappointing experience for PS5 users when compared to the fidelity of other games designed specifically for that console.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s Second Chapter Could Release On Playstation 5 Game Director Tetsuya Nomura Hints In Famitsu Magazine

In a recent interview with Famitsu, game director Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 is in full-blown development. The team likely moved on to the second chapter weeks or even months before Final Fantasy 7 Remake shipped in April, and in the new interview Nomura promises to raise the quality even further than the PS4 release.

This is interesting considering how amazing FF7R looks and plays on PlayStation 4, especially with the backgrounds, CGI cinematics, and overall fluid gameplay. The next logical performance and quality jump is of course on Sony’s next-gen PlayStation 5, which offers massive upgrades via new powerful CPU, GPU, RAM, and high-end PCIe 4.0 hardware with 5.5GB/sec transfer speeds.

At the same time, Nomura says the team wants to release the second installment as fast as possible. Nomura has previously said new chapters will be developed more quickly thanks to the framework set in place with chapter 1.

“We know that everyone wants the next installment quickly. We would also like to deliver it as soon as possible,” Nomura said in the Weekly Famitsu #1656 interview.

“Since we were also able to see the line of quality from the first installment, we hope to make the next installment even better in quality that can make for an even better experience. We would like to get it out as soon as possible, so please wait for it.

“I think we can clearly convey the direction when we officially announce the next installment.”

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part Two News Is Coming This Year

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part Two news is coming this year, producer Yoshinori Kitase has confirmed.

The news comes from a special livestream earlier today on January 31, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the original Final Fantasy 7. The special presentation featured a guest appearance by Yoshinori Kitase, director of the original game and producer of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, who reportedly said that there’ll be news on part two of the remake later this year.

Kitase said during the FF7 25th Anniversary stream today: Hmm, FF7R Part 2 newsI wonder if we can even drop news this year and people responded with you cant?? Kitase then says with Ah, wellI guess well announce more news later this year! #FF7R pic.twitter.com/qgEtuK6n8Q

This is the first time we’ve actually been given a timeframe for expecting any news on Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part Two. Over the past year or so, developers like Kitase and Tetsuya Nomura have repeatedly teased information about the unannounced second game in the remake saga.

For example, we know that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part Two will explore the “vastness of the world,” according to Nomura, and it’ll also pick up straight after the end of INTERmission, which starred Yuffie Kisaragi. So we’ve been privy to details of the new game, but now we have a rough idea of when to expect some brand new information.

Will Ff7 Remake Part 2 Have Any New Features

Judging from the original saga, players will gain access to a host of new vehicles as Cloudâs journey unfolds. Players will almost definitely get Chocobos, the ridable avians that appear in every Final Fantasy game. Thereâs also a Buggy car that players will drive around in, along with the Tiny Bronco airplane that can only fly in shallow water, effectively functioning as a boat. The player gets full control over an airship at one point, but that probably wonât happen until later entries in the Remake series.

Final Fantasy VII Remake changed up the originalâs combat in significant ways, emphasizing combo-driven action and giving all four playable characters â Cloud, Barret, Tifa, and Aerith â their own unique fighting styles. Since the next installments will likely bring new fighters onto the squad, we can expect to see new combat designs for characters like Red XIII, along with a host of familiar faces that Cloud and friends havenât yet crossed paths with.

According to co-director Hamaguchi Naoki, the optional Classic Mode of turn-based combat will also be altered in future installments to make it more enjoyable for players that want a greater strategic challenge.

Will Ff7 Remake Be On Ps4 Or Ps5

With Final Fantasy 7 Remake being a PS4 exclusive , we’d imagine Part 2 will only be on a PlayStation console. That being said, Square did skip the first few Kingdom Hearts games before bringing Kingdom Hearts 3 to Xbox One, so who knows at this point.

It’s unlikely the game would target PS4, though, so expect it to come to PS5 potentially with a PS4 version playing second fiddle.
