You’ll be pleased to hear that you get a DualSense controller in the box with your PS5, and the DualSense feels oddly similar in the hand to the DualShock 4 that shipped with the PS4. We found it to be incredibly comfortable to hold for extended periods, and were shocked that when we went back to our trusty DualShock 4, it felt plain wrong to hold after using the DualSense.
Picking it up for the first time, the DualSense is fairly weighty and balanced, with most of the heft resting in the grips of the controller. While the majority of the controller features a matte white plastic finish, the bottoms of the grips themselves have a slightly rougher texture that actually makes the controller easier to hold, and less likely to slip out of your hands.
In fact, if you look closely, the texture is made up of tiny PlayStation face buttons, which is a neat little touch. The two-tone PS5 controller color scheme extends to the four face buttons, which still consist of the classic Triangle, Circle, Square and Cross however these are now devoid of color, and remind us of the PS Vita‘s minimalist approach.

Ps5 In 202: Spartacus The Game Pass Clone
While individual PS5 exclusives are interesting, whats more exciting is Sonys reported plans to beat Microsoft at its own game by introducing a Game Pass-like service to PlayStation in the spring.
Codenamed Spartacus, the service will reportedly allow players to play a selection of classic and modern games for the cost of a monthly subscription fee. It will apparently merge PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now into one service, with Sony apparently keeping the formers branding while phasing out the latter.
The new look PS Plus will now come with three tiers: the first being what it is now , with the next tier offering a library of PS4 and PS5 games, and the final one providing all of the above, plus extended demos, game streaming and titles from the PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP platforms.

The Ps5 Is Backwards Compatible With Most Ps4 Games
Nearly every PS4 game will work on the PS5. To quote Sony on the matter: more than 99 percent of the 4,000+ games available on PS4 will be playable on PS5. And even better, some PS4 games will run at higher or smoother frame rates on PS5, thanks to something Sony is calling Game Boost. In early tests, Digital Foundry found that the PS5 brings notable improvements to many PS4 games. See for yourself in this video:
That said, Sony says that some PS4 games will be missing functionality or may may exhibit errors or unexpected behavior on PS5. And 10 PS4 games arent playable at all on the PS5:

The Sony PS5 console as seen above stands vertically and sports a black and white design that matches the all-new DualSense controller. Its also worth noting that there are two versions of the console the standard console and the slimmer Digital Edition. Both have the same basic design, with the latter missing an optical drive.
Both consoles are also massive. Theyre the largest home consoles ever released and are more on par with a PC tower when it comes to space requirements. Keep this in mind before purchase or it might have to live on the floor in front of your TV.
While the console ships with a futuristic black and white color scheme, the side panels are easy to remove. Sony has nixed the idea of custom panels a couple of times, but Dbrand, one of the companies that Sony slapped with a lawsuit, started selling an alternate version immediately that has evaded further litigation so far. Why you may ask, would Sony do that? Well, to sell their own, of course. The official console covers in black and red launched directly from Sony on January 21st, while other retailers began sales on February 18th. The other colors pink, light blue, and purple will be available on an unannounced date later this year.
